CopyBucket, Inc. ("us", "we", or "our") operates the CopyBucket services, client software and websites (the "Service").

Personal Data

User Content

The Service we offer makes easy and convenient for you to store data, synchronize data between devices, and send it to other users. In order to enable this functionality we store this data along with metadata, and transmit it. This information may contain the identifier of the bucket an item belongs to, how much storage it occupies, who created it and when, as well as other information. We may also store a preview of the item, which can be displayed in place of the actual item while it is being downloaded.

Contacts

In order to collaborate you may add friends and colleagues via the "Add Friend" functionality in the CopyBucket client software. To provide this feature we must store information about contacts you have added, sent friend requests to, or blocked.

Usage Data

When you access the Service by or through a desktop computer or mobile device, we may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of computing device you use, your device unique ID, the IP address of your device, your device's operating system, the type of Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data ("Usage Data").

Payment Data

We process payments through Stripe. Although we do not directly store your credit card information on our servers, we store a Stripe user ID. All communications with Stripe is secured via SSL. Stripe uses and processes your complete payment information in accordance with Stripe’s privacy policy.

Tracking & Cookies Data

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information.

Cookies are files with small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. Tracking technologies also used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze our Service.

Note that all communications with CopyBucket servers are encrypted and data is stored in encrypted format.

We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers"), to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

We may use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service.

  • Google Analytics

    Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 ("Children").

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

California Do Not Track Disclosure

All modern browsers are equipped with a “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature. DNT signals a web server that the user does not wish to receive targeted advertisements based on prior online activity. We do not show advertisements on our website, nor do we track users over time and across third party websites to provide targeted advertising. As such, the website behaves the same way regardless of DNT signals.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

Changing and Deleting Your Data

User data: To delete data stored on your account, you may use the client software. When you delete a bucket, it is immediately purged from our servers and its content data cannot be recovered. If you delete items within a bucket, please allow up to 10 days for the data to be completely purged from our servers.
